BetterBooks API: getting started

The BetterBooks API is a versioned REST application API under /api/v1; start with your deployment’s API reference and a read-only, authenticated request.

Application API

BetterBooks uses versioned REST controllers under /api/v1. The deployed backend is the authority for available operations and schemas. Frontend examples must use your configured API origin; the public website is not necessarily the API host.

Find your API reference

The backend configures an OpenAPI v1 document. Swagger availability is controlled by the deployment environment. Ask your deployment administrator for the enabled reference; do not assume /swagger is publicly available.

Start read-only

Use an authorized review environment and a read-only request. Never paste production access tokens into public tools, URLs, screenshots or documentation.
